Bayfair Center and San Leandro Team up for Health Fair
BAYFAIR CENTER AND SAN LEANDRO TEAM UP FOR HEALTH FAIR
Free Healthy Families for Life Fair Offers Martial Arts, Yoga, Entertainment, Kids Activities and More
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. – (September 21, 2006) Bayfair Center and the San Leandro Collaborative for Children, Youth and their Families, with a grant from Kaiser Permanente, will celebrate healthy living at the Healthy Families for Life Fair on Saturday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free to the public, the health extravaganza will take place at Bayfair Center and offer an afternoon of entertainment, kids activities, prizes and interactive exhibits from more than 25 health-focused agencies.
"We are excited to partner up once again with the San Leandro Collaborative for Children, Youth and their Families for this event," said Bayfair Center Marketing Director Yvonne Wood. "The Healthy Families for Life Fair will offer activities, entertainment and prizes for families to enjoy while also learning about the importance of healthy living."
The festive event will encourage children to participate in a variety of health-related activities, including martial arts, Polynesian dance, yoga, cardio kick boxing and much more, while parents learn about healthy living from local and national organizations hosting booths at the event. Agencies exhibiting at the health fair include Curves for Women, California Farmer’s Market Association, Kaiser Permanente, Relay for Life/American Cancer Society and much more.
Bayfair is a traditional mix, enclosed, full service shopping center designed to serve the diverse communities surrounding the center’s East Bay location.
