Chevy´s Grand Re-Opening at Bayfair Center
BAYFAIR center AND CHEVYS TO HOST GRAND OPENING PARTY ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 17
Community invited to enjoy free live music, prizes, games, refreshments and more
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. – (August 9, 2006) Bayfair Center will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new Chevys restaurant Thursday, August 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Families are invited to come down to the newly built Chevys, located in the southeast section of the shopping center, and enjoy free food, games, live music, prizes and more.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. with local politicians and throughout the evening, Chevys will host raffle drawings for prizes including Chevys cookbooks, CDs, T-shirts, free lunches, gift cards and more. Guests will also get to sample Chevys legendary chips and salsa and a mariachi band will provide lively music throughout the event.
A Tortilla Toss will take place to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro. Attendees can purchase tortillas, make their own tortillas with club members and then toss them into a Chevys bus filled with targets and baskets.
"We are excited for the Grand Opening of Chevys and this party will be a great way to welcome them back to Bayfair Center," said Bayfair Center Marketing Director Yvonne Wood. "Additionally, the Tortilla Toss will be a fun, engaging activity for kids and parents to enjoy while raising much needed funds for the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro."
Bayfair is a traditional mix, enclosed, full service shopping center designed to serve the diverse communities surrounding the center’s East Bay location. Currently, Bayfair offers 820,000 square feet of retail space consisting of more than 45 stores including two restaurants and a 16-screen Century Theater.
